Maricopa Botanicals is an independent plant shop in Gilbert, Arizona, rooted in the desert. We carry Arizona-grown cacti and succulents, houseplants, handmade concrete and sourced planters, plant care products, and offer a plant bar.

We're at 538 S Gilbert Road, Suite 112, Gilbert, AZ, and open every day from 10 to 6. Parking is free, with four spots reserved for plant shop customers.

Yes. Well behaved pups are welcome in the shop. We just ask that your dog is friendly to humans and other dogs if you are bringing them along.

So many! We only source plants that we are confident you can keep alive with our expertise and advice. We offer indoor plants that won’t need over the top set ups for humidity and can thrive naturally in your home. We also offer an array of outdoor plants and patio plants that can thrive as potted plants and grow with you as you grow and can be potted in your yard.

Agave, prickly pear, and many desert adapted cacti handle the valleys climate outdoors. More tender succulents like echeveria want afternoon shade in summer and frost protection in winter.

Yes! We carry a section dedicated to plants that are safe for your pets. Including Pepperomias., Pilea, Ponytail Palms, Parlor Palms, African Violets, Hoyas, Hypostes, Calatheas and an array of cactus and succulents that are also pet safe / non toxic.

Many of our cacti and succulents come from growers across the Phoenix Valley and Tucson, with other plants sourced from growers around the country. Local plants are already used to our climate, so they tend to adapt well.

Yes. Alongside easy-care favorites, we stock collector-style plants like Hoyas and unusual collectors cacti succulents and bonsai.

Choose a plant and a pot, and we'll pot it for you in the shop. It's complimentary when you buy both the plant and the pot from us, for the life of your plant, even years later. If you bring your own plant or your own pot, there's a 20% fee. If you bring both, pricing depends on size (see our Services page). No reservation is needed, but please call ahead if you're bringing a lot of plants.

We carry handmade concrete planters (made by the owners) and source terra cotta planters from 2 inches to 36 inches, for everything from countertop succulents to indoor trees and outdoor plants. Every pot has a drainage hole. We also offer self-watering pots for plants like African violets and begonias, and we can drill a hole in a pot you love.

We don't offer refunds or returns on live plants, but we're happy to give free advice if you run into trouble. Our Plant Doctor service diagnoses what's wrong and tells you how to fix it, for a fee. Our pest service adds treatment and care instructions to take home.
